WHAT IT IS
The Vatican Museums are one of the largest art collections of the world and include masterpieces from various periods. We will travel to the roots of Italian art history starting from the Vatican Palace, commissioned by Pope Julius II, where we can see a collection of Greek and Roman statues, to then move to the Renaissance art of the Hall of Maps. We will reach the sublime Sistine Chapel through the Borgia Apartments and end this incredible tour by visiting St. Peter’s Basilica and Square – timeless masterpieces by Michelangelo and Bernini. The four-hour tour includes a brief overview of the Pinacoteca Vaticana and the Raphael Rooms with its work by Giotto, Raffaello, Leonardo and Caravaggio.
